Prawn Masala

It was the first time I cooked Prawns at home. Very quick to cook and yet it tastes so good. So if you are a sea food lover, this dish is for you.



This is what you need:

250 gms of Prawn cleaned.
12-15 small onions chopped
5-8 garlic pods chopped
1 tsp turmeric powder
3 tbsps red chilly powder
1 tbsp ginger paste
Mustard seeds
Cumin seeds
Urad dal
Pepper corns
Oil.

This is what you do:

Heat some oil in a pan. Add the mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds and pepper corns. Once it splutters, add the onions and garlic. Saute till translucent.
Now add the turmeric powder, red chilly powder, and ginger paste. Saute till the raw taste disappears.
Add the prawns.
Mix it with the masala.
Add some water and cook till the prawns get done.
Prawn masala can be served with rice.
