Paneer Pepper Dry |
This is what you need:
100 gms Paneer cut into small cubes
8-10 Small Onions
4-5 Garlic pods
1 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tbsp Pepper powder
2 tbsp Cumin powder
Salt as required
Few Coriander leaves
To grind:
4-5 Coconut pieces
1 Green chilly
2 tbsp Cumin seeds
For seasoning:
1 tbsp Mustard seeds
1 tbsp Urad dal
2 strands of Curry leaves
2 Red chilly
This is what you do:
- Grind the coconut, green chilly and cumin seeds to a coarse paste without adding water
- Finely chop the onion and garlic
- Heat oil in a pan and season it with all the ingredients under seasoning
- Add onion and garlic, once sauteed add the coconut paste
- Add turmeric, pepper and Jeera/cumin powder
- Add the required salt
- Now add the paneer and mix well
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve
It tastes best with sambhar rice. You can also roll this in chapathis and pack it in the lunch box.
