Chilli Paneer


This is a chinese dish and should be great if it has just the right amount of sauce.This doesnt take much time to cook and can be used as starters for any occasion or made simply when one feels like having paneer like me :)
How to cook Chilli Paneer...
You will need:
100 gms Paneer
1 tbsp Maida
3 tbsp Milk
1/4 cup cornflour
1/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp pepper powder
A pinch of Ajinomoto
Salt to taste
Mix all the above ingredients in given quantity. Cut paneer into cubes, dip into that batter and deep fry.
For Gravy:
3 tbsp oil
1 small onion – finely chopped
1 tbsp Ginger paste
1 1/2 tsp garlic paste
2 tsp chilli paste
1/2 tsp ajinomoto
1 cup of water
1 tsp cornflour
1 1/2 tsp soya sauce
3/4 tsp vinegar
1 1.2 tsp tomato sauce
3/4 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
Spring onions for garnishing
You will do:
Take a kadai, pour oil. Fry finely chopped onions till golden brown. Add ginger garlic and chilli paste. Add all sauces, vinegar, chilli powder and black pepper.
Add spring onions and ajinomoto. Mix corn flour in water and add it to the boiling mixture for thick consistency. Once water stars boiling add the paneer and cook till gravy thickens
P.S. you can also substitute chicken for paneer to make chilli chicken.
