Snake Guard chips/varuval

This is something I always used to love when mom used to make it back home. It was only today that I tried doing it at home.

How to Cook Snake Guard chips/varuval...
You need:

1 snake guard cut into circles.
2 tbsp of besan flour
1 tbsp of maida
1 tbsp of rice flour
2 tbsp of red chilly powder
Salt
Oil for frying.

This is what you do:

Make a batter with besan flour, maida, rice flour, red chilly powder and salt with a little water.

Put all the rings of the snake guard in this batter. Let it be for 15-20 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. And fry the snake guard rings from the batter.

Snake guard chips or varuval is ready.

You usually have to make it right before you have them, coz once it cools down it will lose it crispiness and become very soggy. In a similar fashion you can also make bitter guard varuval.
