Pasta in white sauce

Pasta in white sauce is something I used to make often at home, after many tries of making variations of pasta, I finally settled to stick to the white sauce one, since it is always yummy and creamy. It goes very well with garlic bread, the recipe of which will be updated soon enough.

This is what you need:

Penne Pasta - 200 gms packet
Maida - 3 tbsps
Butter - 3 tbsps
Milk - 2 cups or as required for consistency.
Oregano - 1 tbsp
Chilly flakes - 1 tbsp
Thyme - 1 tbsp
Pepper - 1 tbsp
Salt - as required.
Grated Cheese - 1 cup

This is what you do:

Boil the pasta as per the instructions in the packet with a little olive oil and salt.

Heat some butter in a pan, once the butter melts, add the maida. Once the maida turns color lightly, add the milk and keep stirring so that no lumps are formed.

Now add all the herbs and spices except cheese.

Mix it well with the sauce.

To this add the pasta, and add the grated cheese.

Let it be in the heat for 2 minutes, and bring it down from the flame.

Make this dish right before serving, as the sauce tends to thicken up.
